Scholarship eligibility

Promoting music making and attendance among youth is the primary aim of the scholarship, and preference will be given to those attending school, who are enrolled in a music programme at tertiary level or equivalent, or who currently play in a youth orchestra or equivalent. Secondary preference will be given to those who are not considered ‘youth’ as above, but who are interested in developing leadership capability, would be interested in supporting the camp while in receipt of the scholarship, and who may appreciate some financial assistance in order to attend.

Preference will also be given to instruments/skills that are in short supply.  For 2024 this is yet to be decided.

11

The number of scholarships offered each year will be decided by the WSMC Committee annually and will be guided by financial capacity and previous and/or anticipated interest.
